Yesterday (July 9), one of our employees was confirmed to have been infected with a new type of coronavirus (reported by Hyogo Prefecture).
The infected person developed a fever on July 5 and was recuperating at home, but on July 9, he developed olfactory disturbance and was confirmed positive by PCR testing on the same day. As a result of the report from the public health center, it was confirmed that several of our company's persons had had a close contact with the illness. We are working with the public health center to promptly conduct a PCR test on the persons in close contact and have placed them on home leave for two weeks from the date of last contact in order to continue health management and to prevent the spread of infection.
While we are taking thorough measures to prevent the spread of infection, including hygiene management in our facilities, we have decided to close temporarily as follows to ensure the safety and security of our customers and to protect the health of all employees.
We will continue to place the highest priority on ensuring the health and safety of our customers and other concerned parties as well as our employees. To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, we will cooperate with all concerned parties, clean and disinfect our facilities, and ensure that our employees wear masks and disinfect their hands with alcohol disinfectant solution as we strive to resume operations. We will work hard to reopen for business.
