Nagori hamo no soboro rice topped with a layer of island seaweed and rare island Spanish mackerel katsu (katsu is a rare fish cutlet) is an exquisite autumn and winter-only island nori bento. First taste the sweet and spicy hamo no soboro rice and fragrant island seaweed. The contrast between the crispy texture of the batter and the soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture inside is superb. The crunchy texture of the batter and the tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture of the inside are a perfect contrast. The soy sauce with nori seaweed and the sourness of the pickled plums also accentuate the flavor of the dish, making it an enjoyable meal to finish.
