The "Island Yaki Unigiri" is a rice ball made of Awaji rice, coated with locally brewed mild soy sauce, slightly charred, and topped with Awaji Island's exquisite fresh sea urchin on a grilled rice ball.
A special seaweed broth made from Awaji Island seaweed and Japanese soup stock is poured over the edge of the dish, and the grilled sea urchin is tasted as it is gradually broken up.
